March 26, 2024 - Really loving the maturity of this wine, as the fruit still shows great energy, but that diamond mountain soil comes through with pencil lead and graphite at the same time as the structure is beginning to yield to soft forest floor And some truffle. My guess is this needs to be drunk over the next five years.

December 27, 2023 - Really at an excellent place right now. This has maturity and dark black fruit yet so bright acidity. Have to love the minerals that diamond mountain provides.

May 23, 2021 - PnP and ready to roll. Nose of red fruit graphite slight herbal tones some blood iron as well

Lovely texture viscous without being thick dark with slightly red edges

This is the wine you can smell and simply know it’s going to be good

Medium to long finish on the palate, red berry fruit dominating somewhat hollow on the mid palate, some cranberry Notes overtaking red raspberry and sour red cherry

Went back and forth between this and ‘09 Brand as WOTN. This was slightly better for my palate but #2 for others.

April 23, 2020 - Opened and decanted with a spreading funnel. Opened nicely. More time brought darker fruit and the spice moved from back palate to front palate while the fruit seemed to darken and become more weighty on the mid to back palate. Nose is intoxicating. Just delicious to smell. Almost like a cologne amid sweet, dark fruits. Finish is 45 seconds plus.

Wine is drinking well here but has a decade.

August 4, 2018 - Nice wine - needs decanting still and still exhibits tremendous youth, but we’re now seeing some secondary nuances. Bright acidity and all the terroir you’d expect of Constant. Fruit is purple with some black on the nose.
