November 9, 2023 - Wow. Yes, just wonderful indeed. Tasted next to a 2011 Trenton View Pinot and, while the Trenton View was nice, it just simply couldn't compare to the Estate. This was fantastically balanced with a long fruit finish. Drink or hold.

October 22, 2023 - This is just wonderful. I have drunk a case of this over the years and now down to my last 4. No need to hurry. This is a good reminder that these Swan Trentons age well. Balanced, a bit more alcohol than typical for Swan (but only 13.7!) but not at all hot just fruitier. Nice earth, cherry and that Russian River smell. Almost like a salty swamp, but in a good way. I will wait a bit for my last couple but only because I have few left. It drinks well now with a decant.

July 25, 2023 - (opened bottle two hours before serving, did not decant)

garnet colour with a dark core and ruby edges and moderate viscosity. lovely autumnal bouquet of dark cherry, dried strawberry, mushrooms, damp sous-bois, fading roses and spice. medium bodied and layered in the mouth, the mature concentrated flavours of fruit with earthy touches are lifted by fresh notes of pomegranate and blood orange. a savoury mineral vein and spice notes grow in the mid palate. very smooth and remarkably long (almost grand-cru level) persistence.

mature, supple and elegant… a beautiful expression of Sonoma and Pinot. likely approaching the end of this excellent drinking plateau.

13.7% AbV; from the home of the "Swan clone"

December 24, 2021 - This is in a great place right now. The bouquet is that fine, Trenton Estate "ode to cherry." Red and black cherry, baking spice, and an undertone of earth jump out of the glass. On the palate, as juicy and delicious as this wine is, it's the texture that's a standout right now. Plush and beautiful, with fruit that's still primary, this is showing less overt acidity than some vintages. The finish is velvety and long. This is outstanding. A

February 11, 2021 - 13.7% alcohol. This is in such a stunning place right now. Gorgeous, forward nose packed with fruit, spice, earth, and flowers. This is still very much in its primary phase. In the mouth, vibrant, an explosion of bright fruit in the mouth. It's got superb texture and depth, with loads of complexity waving from behind the forward fruit. Unapologetically acidic, with a long, velvety finish. This is just freaking awesome. A
