March 10, 2023 - Still tasting really good right now !! I agree with my tasting nots of the last year, delicious !!
A perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle. Consumed over two days. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of pomegranate and cranberry. Flavors of black cherry, raspberry, and black tea with a hint of forest floor. This Pinot Noir has a medium to long finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir from Scherrer, this age worthy wine has more years of life left. I wish I had more, but this was the last bottle in my cellar of this vintage. A great fruit selection and a great winemaking effort by Fred Scherrer

February 10, 2021 - PnP, but the wine improved with 20-30 minutes of air. The color was a deep purple. There were aromas of dark red fruits and earth. The medium bodied palate showed lots of dark red fruits and spice, some earth, and just a touch of cola. The acidity was medium plus, but nicely balancing. This wine could hold for another couple of years... or more.
This wine was quite enjoyable and significantly better than the bottle of 2011 Big Brother we had in mid-January.

August 20, 2019 - Wow what a delicious and mouthwatering Pinot noir!!! Still super fresh and drank perfectly now. Don’t have to much experience with aging Pinot but this was marvelous. Probably going to last many years in basement..

May 18, 2017 - Elegant with subtle spice, berries, and anise. Four of us enjoyed it with dinner at Stewart's in St. Paul, MN and each one of us commented as to how pretty it was.

May 1, 2017 - We love them all, but this and the 2008 Platt are my favorite of Fred's pinots to date. Just a wonderful wine and a long finish.
