  November 18, 2023 - Opened and poured. Short-ish cork slightly dry. Dark wine showing slight bricking in perfect balance. Solid core of dense fruit still showing some sweetness and pizazz, but deftly balanced. Dark reds and blacks, with some underbrush and dusty tannin. Really nice solid wine work 6x the $20 price tag back in the day. Smooth, classy and everything in balance with air - really nice showing and sadly the last bottle. At 22 years out, this is really good.

  September 1, 2020 - Opened and poured - dark and brooding, with staining fine tannins and sediment coating the entirety of the bottle. Olivey and savory, with mature fruit but not overly flabby or oxidized. Purples and black cherry, plum, bark. A little bitterness. Solid.

  March 20, 2017 - High neck fill. Cork a little spongy. Deep purple/black in glass with bricking evident. Brooding, ripe fruit on palate. Again, oxidation evident and just beyond prime. Inside of bottle coated with thick sediment. Nevertheless, in great shape for a 16 1/2 year old Syrah. Drink up!

  July 7, 2014 - dark red, orange rim, in the color. pepper, plum, blackberry, on the nose. pepper, plum, blackberry, spice, dirt, on the palate. medium acid, on this warm finish.
