March 27, 2015 - This is fully mature and stylistically a bit like CVNE's Imperial: An elegant smooth wine with warm earthy aromas -- classic semi-modern Rioja. Much younger than the bottle in 2012. Very nice but lacks the complexity to be great.

February 4, 2012 - Seemed to be living dangerously, with a nose that at first was fragrant with the characteristic hay aroma of bottle aged red wine, then more sherry-like, almost oxidised. In the mouth it retained its fragile beauty of airy old-fashioned Rioja with a slight sweetness; and it never died. Much older than the 1999.

January 29, 2011 - Tasted at some friends' place. Elegant mature colour. Immediately pleasant efter opening, smooth, easy-drinking old-fashioned Rioja that stands up well to food. Keeps well, no haste.
