Community Tasting Notes 4

January 21, 2013 - Very old world. Strawberry, red currant, a bit of smoked bacon. Some funk, wet leaves on the open. Nice structure but it's losing fruit so time to drink it now. Nice in the mouth, but a bit short on the finish. Still enjoyable.

February 26, 2010 - hard fruit on the nose. kind of like unsweetened black cherry kool-aid powder. dry and tough fruit. seawater, seaweed, minerality of pond water.

February 26, 2010 - A bit woodsy and mushroomy but with primary fruit still. Palate is soft, in harmony and ready to go. Quite tasty if you like the funk.

April 11, 2007 - Uncorked Rhone Tasting (Uncorked, Exchange Arcade, London): Fresh, spicy nose. Mulberries, some vanila. Good. Needs a couple of years yet. 4
