  July 6, 2014 - Pruney and somewhat hollow in the middle, but still interesting and very reminiscent of wines I had in the region, however, I noted better acidity in even much cheaper versions there. Check out Domaine de la Rectorie.

  May 17, 2014 - San Diego WineSpectator.com Offline, 5/17/2014 (Grant Grill, U.S. Grant Hotel, San Diego): 16% alcohol. Clear dark garnet color. Not very expressive on the nose. A bit of muted cough syrup or kirsch with coaxing. Maybe too young, or going through a dumb phase? Tasted like a young "port lite." A very nice treat with dessert.

  October 5, 2013 - PHMG WAG: Tour de France 2013 (Chez Lyon in Eugene, OR): Served with various Endangered Species chocolate bars, this wine is all about ripe black fruit, minerals/ stone, and the modest to moderate sweetness. The tannins meld with the chocolate and a minute or so into the tasting of this wine the room goes silent... then clamor. Enjoy!
