February 16, 2023 - Made by one of the few serious producers from Monbazillac, in an outstanding vintage
Amber/copper hue, nice to look at
    Splendid nose of pineapple/apricot/quince jam.
It's more subtle than a Tokay or a Sauternes
On the palate, warmth precedes a long lasting finish of tropical melting pot.
    A bottle to be remembered
Can be kept few years more

June 17, 2022 - Dinner at Noize: I haven’t heard of this producer before but this could compete with the best Sauternes. Deep orange / golden colour, some honey and marmalade similar to a Sauternes. Excellent lingering finish, one of those wines that can live forever.

June 17, 2022 - Dinner with Melvin (Noize): 50cl bottle. Deep orange/copper colour - very attractive to look at. Spicy saffron and orange peel on the nose. Excellent on the palate, with lots of development as well as ample fresh acidity: marmalade, toffee apple, deep and elegant. Had the sense of airiness that I get more often from Tokaji than Sauternes, which was welcome at that stage of the evening.

92 pts
