October 24, 2022 - AP 05. Superb and mature; white cherry, lime, candied ginger, a barest hint of burnt sugar; concentrated, long; the acid has relaxed just a bit and it’s in perfect balance.

March 26, 2022 - Mature and quite wonderful, still with pronounced sweetness (I was a little bit in doubt if this could be an auslese, but settled on spätlese), fine citrus-notes, minerals, the balance is impeccable. In no way declining, this will go on, but I dont see it improving, drinking a point today.

October 24, 2019 - So gorgeous. Fully mature, with no real chance of further upside. Very developed gold hue, developed nose, honied, stone fruits. In the mouth, a textbook example of why German Riesling is so stunning. developed, concentrated, opulent, rich, and sweet, but the finish is completely defined by the linear acid, which brings extraordinary focus to the wine. stunning stuff, and a great experience for the final bottle.

September 10, 2017 - Dinner to celebrate Christine's 70th (Trelissick Crescent, Ngaio, Wellington, New Zealand): This is fabulous Riesling, at an early stage of maturity. The overwhelming impression is one of exquisite balance between the fruit. sugar and acid. This is ethereal, yet possesses great presence and persistence.

December 21, 2016 - More green-fruited than either the 2001 or 2008. Green apples, lime, underripe tropicals; honey sweetness with medium-high acidity. My favorite of the three, although the 2004/2008 differences are more stylistic than quality driven.
