Community Tasting Notes 5

November 10, 2009 - Densely packed black cherry, cedar, minerals and violets. The fruit was open and sweet, with a raisiny edge, that added some rusticity.

June 28, 2007 - Nose expands over the 2 hours in the decanter. Sweet black cherry, mineral, with slight tartness on the finish. Still very elegant and approachable with fine tannins.

May 17, 2007 - Drunk over 4 days. 4th day was the best. Angular wine with good acid. Tanins are well integrated.

April 9, 2006 - Decanted this Bru for about an hour and had it with some pasta with marinara and bufalo mozz & roma tomato bruchetta. It opened up nicely with dinner. Actually, it turned into one of those wines that you just want to smell for a while instead of drinking right away. If you live near a Costco (and who doesn't) get over there and buy some. Buy enough to drink now and lay a couple down.

January 29, 2006 - very likely heat damaged -- black mushroom gills, intense nose, smokey, red brick, oxidized.
