July 31, 2014 - Very funky. Mataro definitely coming through even though blend indicates that it is only 1% higher than the Grenache component. Had a bottle last year and the Grenache was the dominate taste then. Very interesting.

August 24, 2013 - Freshly tilled earth, red berry fruit, very slight cedar and slight spice. The wine has a round mouth feel, primary sweet red berry fruit dominates and there is a slightly yeasty/bready note as well as a touch of earthiness - though the wine is not dirty. Medium plus length finish. The is textually like a Pinot Noir but not flavour wise. Nice. Interesting, moreish but almost indistinguishable from other wines of a similar style...
