Community Tasting Notes 6

October 28, 2021 - Structurally resolved Burgundian weightlessness, but with youthful, primary fruit and flavour profile, sapid, savoury, meaty, charcuterie, dark fruits, spice.

September 17, 2021 - Must admit this isn’t my favourite vintage for Archaeus. Found there to be an overt sourness which dissipate a bit but was always there. There is some lovey soft red berry fruit underneath and I am always taken by the elegance of the Archaeus which is again on display here. Slightly short finish for me as well. The 09 and 10 I had recently were both better for me.

May 15, 2020 - Lovely. Improves over several hours with no signs of fading. Complex floral perfumes.

March 22, 2020 - Ignore my previous comment, I’ve drunk a few botts since my last notes and this is really emerging from its shell. Dark fruits, sappy, smoky, black olive tapenade, delicious.

May 24, 2019 - Initially quite sappy with a CO2 spritz, moderate tannin. Burgundian but a tad more clunky and dull than the ‘12 Timmaeus tasted earlier in the week.
