January 24, 2021 - This bottle was still in a good drinking window after 6+ years in my cellar. Excellent pairing with organic lamb stew with potatoes, carrots, shallots and mushrooms. My bottle may have been cellar at a more cool and constant temperature than the one ELEVWINE LIKES THIS WINE sampled.

June 22, 2019 - Found this in my cellar but no CT entry. Light for a Columbia Valley Cab and a bit thin. Short finish with a bitter, vegetal edge. Not bad, but nothing special.

April 20, 2015 - It's interesting how expection or lack of it can do to your overall enjoyment of a wine. I was not expecting much at all before my last bottle and it was a happy surprise. This time, expecting a great wine, I was so mightyly disappointed. I would still say it is a great bargain considering the price I paid for it ($11). But it is a little unbalanced and quite simple on the palate. It is enticing on the nose but one-dimensional. Overall, an over-achiever as a daily drinker, but little more.

February 23, 2015 - Great wine! Takes about 30 mins to open up. Continue going strong until well into the second day. Medium body, plenty of acid from nose to palate. Red fruit and wonderful spice. Smooth tannins. Drinks well above its price point. Highly recommended.

December 27, 2014 - A terrific wine for the price. Lots of red fruit, maybe a little too fruity, but a nice rich cab

(Seven Hills Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley) A young wine that unabashedly explores Cabernet’s (and Carménère’s, 6%) leafier side with a medley of fresh herbs, whole green pepper, vanilla, cinnamon stick, and exotic spices. The palate is soft and supple, showing little alcoholic weight, a pleasing sense of tension with the acids, and a healthy – but in check – dose of tannins. If you’re looking for ripe dark fruit, turn the page. If you’re interested in a savory wine with a great mouthfeel, a lot of acid, precise winemaking, and a spotless window into this vintage, read on. 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Carmenere, 4% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, and 5% Malbec. Aged 18 months in American and European oak (25% new). 13.5% alcohol. 3,000 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.
