November 4, 2022 - A beautifully aged classic Cabernet. Still benefits from at least an hour or two to decant. no browning at the edge. Starts with aromas of cinnamon, anise, blackberry, leather and earth. On the palate, it still shows great flavor with spice, blackberry, anise, leather and earth. Showing more tertiary character. Great balance. Long smooth finish, the tannins have softened.

October 6, 2019 - Aging beautifully. Needs an hour or two to decant. no browning at the edge. Aromas of cinnamon, anise, blackberry, leather and earth. Spice, blackberry, anise,leather and earth on the palate. Great balance. Long smooth finish, the tannins have softened. Starting to show more secondary character. If you enjoy aged Cabernet, this is just starting to hit its stride. 1 bottle left and no hurry to open.

January 16, 2019 - One hour decant. Deep ruby color with slightly rusty rim. Christmas spice (cinnamon and nutmeg), tar, blackberry, and graphite on the aged nose. Smooth, tongue drying palate. Soft, but firm tannins on the medium long finish.
There was more fruit and cola on the palate than on the nose. This is a beautiful wine that is near the end of it’s good drinking window for me. Lots of secondary and the beginning of tertiary notes. One more year would be too little fruit. -

April 3, 2011 - Barrel sample. Beautiful wine. Classically styled. I'm pretty sure it was the 09, could have been the 08. This was dry, complex, and really well made. Mid-90s.
