February 29, 2020 - PnP, but definitely benefits from about 20 minutes of air to allow it to open. The nose yields up some cherry and some earth. The medium bodied palate has a core of red and dark red fruit, a good amount of spice, resolved tannins, and juicy acidity. A very satisfying bottle of the lighter of Fred's zinfandels. Should hold for another year or so.

March 22, 2019 - A touch on the rustic side but still enjoyable. Drink up as this doesn't have the stuffing for the long haul.

September 3, 2018 - Cherries, spice, lots of acidity. At first, there was an animal note running through, but air helped dissipate that. Alcohol was noticeable but, again, air resolved that. Tannins are grippy. No rush on this.

June 2, 2015 - Too early, but good acidity and structure. Give it another year.

August 9, 2014 - A nice, restrained, Zinfandel. Don't let the light color fool you - this has nice body, red fruits, spiciness, earth tones. Beautiful acidity, decent finish. A great table wine. Looking forward to another bottle - maybe in another year or two.
