November 16, 2022 - Drank at the Cyrus 2.0 guys lunch. It was a huge hit, was worried about the age, but everyone loved it, even people who don’t normally like Amarone. Very smooth

    February 8, 2014 - Part of vertical Amarone tasting from Bertani (2005, 1994, 1981, 1975 and 1964)

A very different vintage than the other 5 of the bunch, and my second favourite. The nose was filled with raisins and citrus fruit which was transferred to the palate along with fresh nice acidity. Later it also gave away some nice tobacco sents. The color was dark red with golden edges. This was the only one of the bunch which had a lot for sediments. It might be a good idea to decant it.

January 2, 2009 - While essentially the same character with the '95, this '94 Bertani Amarone was a little bit harsher in the mouth. Cherries, tar, old wood, prunes and rubber. Medium bodied, old style wine.
