July 12, 2018 - This appears to have entered a shutdown phase
A year and a half ago this was singing and displaying a long life ahead
Last night it was closed and empty, tonight pretty much the same
But it’s not even near over the hill, the fruit is there, the structure is good it just needs time to come together.
I won’t touch my 2 remaining bottles for at least 7 or 8 years, probably more given the screwcap.

August 5, 2017 - This was a bit cold when I pulled it out of the cellar so I poured a glass and took the dog for a walk. 45 mins wasn’t nearly enough though, as it took about three hours to open up.

Flavours of bay leaf, plum and tobacco are there but not obvious, it’s all about structure and fine drying tannin. Reckon I’d take a look at the next one in 2019 at the earliest. Excellent value for money.

January 15, 2015 - A brightly hued wine at the moment, red moving to purple. Looks young, but not overly young. The nose is dry and spicy fruit. The palate is young ripe cassis, with very savoury drying tannin. It really fills the width of the mouth, with a medium to long finish that leave you smacking your tongue. It's savoury and chewy but in a really good way. It certainly needs some time down, but everything is delicately balanced for what i think is going to be a very impressive wine. Hold for as long as possible.
