February 27, 2022 - Pulled from cellar and stood up the morning before opening. Popped an hour before pouring, no decant. Great complexity, fruit and structure. In a good place tonight. The acidity, tannins made this wine pair well with restuarant Italian fare. It was a big hit. My favorite in comparison to the '07 La Gerla Brunello.

December 26, 2019 - Still a little young, needs 3-4 more years in my opinion.

September 23, 2019 - Dinner at Tango Sur (tango sur, chicago IL): The nose is plush and savory with tones of dark red cherries, raspberries, plums, dark red berries, roasted herbs, licorice, wet clay, leather, and violets. There is an upfront quality to the nose that shows off some of the vintage while also having good, but not great depth. The Medium/full bodied feel is plush and balanced with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. There is a good finish that lasts a bit with the structure still having just that bit of bite right now. This is about as good as it's going to get.

September 18, 2014 - Notes of plums, dark cherries, balsamic notes. Full-bodied and super dense with medium-high acidity and medium-high tannin. Excellent length. This will still require considerable Patience...

Quite dark hue with a nose of cherries, earth and tobacco. Lovely complex mouth.
