April 13, 2024 - A Cassis and sweet black cherry nose.
Blackberry and cherry pallet with a hint of dried cranberry and a long dry finish. Fruit, acid and tannin are in balance.
    Aging well

October 21, 2023 - I was quite taken when first tasted. Incredible purity and freshness of fruit for a 13yr wine. Quite striking. Some herbs late. Honestly tasts like a 1yr old. But there in lies the problem - it's just a bit too simple and straight forward to be taken seriously. Indeed almost commercial given its so fruit heavy.

January 31, 2020 - Haven't tried FDR for awhile and this one has been sitting in my cellar for some time. Its a 2010 so probably not too much life here. Colour is dark tawny as expected of a wine this age. It's extremely light with a limited length. Pleasant drinking without anything spectacular. Fruity and unastounding. .

July 21, 2018 - Medium body, a bit on the light side if anything. Did not have the lushness of fruit I was expecting from Eden Valley. The colour is not dense and appears to be tending to brick red. The tannins and acid were light and do not encourage me to think this will cellar long term. Fruit and wood are integrated but lean. Reasonable front and mid palette but finishes a bit short on the back palette. Drink up and make room for something else in the cellar imo.

July 19, 2018 - Lacks structure, almost a cordial, but just enough to save it. Still not of great interest. Won't last for long I suspect.
