March 10, 2024 - This Amon-Ra varies by the bottle. Every time a different chap. This time with a massive body, very well integrated tannin. A bit sweet ending. Lots of mocha. Very long finish of 30+ seconds. Great stuff again.

February 20, 2024 - A tour de force this has been consistently excellent on every occasion I have tasted this vintage. There is immense structure big and bold but in perfect harmony despite the 15abv there is zero excessive heat . So seductive and juicy with dense black fruits the aromas are a total knockout. There is plenty acidity which will aid this wines development for years to come . A brilliant wine.

December 30, 2023 - Very much of the Barrosa, very dark inky purple, powerful nose of spice and blackberries, very full mouthful and if you try you can find almost any fruit in there a huge melange of tasted plus cedar spicies and cinnamon, could all be to much but this has absorbed itself and is a full on winner from the Barrosa, great bottle and a very good drink as Michael Broadbent used to say.

October 7, 2023 - In a nice space and time here. Needs a little airtime to blow off some sappy fruit (yes still) but leans out and shows great structure and poise.

August 31, 2023 - This is 100% liquid beef jerky. I have no idea how this is going to evolve , but today, after 2 hours of decant time, this wine is 100% like drinking peppered beef jerky. 5 years left of life , but I am not sure how it is going to evolve. A very weird wine.
