April 26, 2022 - Similar to the last bottle, brilliant golden color. Very ripe and concentrated. A bit cloying and tired but not premoxed.

June 8, 2020 - Brilliant golden color and no sign of premox. Medium expressive nose displaying ripe yellow fruit, apricot, peach, crème brulee, a hint of burnt sugar, honey and limestone. Excellent concentration, packed concentrated ripe yellow fruit, rich and oily, bright acidity, medium limestone mineral, and a medium to long ripe yellow fruit driven finish with sweet spices and burnt sugar at the end. This is a really rich and ripe Corton Charlemagne, a typical Verget from the period when Bob loved and rated them really high.

February 26, 2019 - A bit tired. Not sure whether premoxed as the expression is very ripe to begin with.

    July 7, 2016 - Oxidized...disappointed.

July 5, 2015 - Corton-Charlemagne & Corton Dinner (Imperial Treasure Shanghai, Ngee Ann City, Singapore): Pretty good, but this needs a bit of time yet. In a certain fashion, this was quite reminiscent of the 1995 Louis Latour Corton Charlie that preceded it. It had a nice enough nose, but again a bit oaky, with vanilla and toast notes floating amongst some sweet, ripe yellow fruited notes with dollops of cream at the sides. A very Verget nose with all that ripe fruit and oak I thought. The palate was a touch less generous than the nose. It had a lovely blush of sweet yellow fruit at the fore, but it also had some sharp elbows, with acidity and structure sticking out somewhat on the midpalate and towards the finish, where sweet juicy lemons with little blushes of spice and a floral hint rounded the wine off. Overall, this was actually a pretty yummy drink, with a nice presence and balance to it, but like the Louis Latour, there are still some kinks to be worked out and I think this will actually be better in a couple of years.
