July 21, 2018 - Nose of black fruit and red forest berries, with leather and graphite. The palette is silky and full of delicate tannins. Drinking beautifully but will keep for another decade.

March 20, 2016 - Probably at the back end of the plateau - nice expanisveness. Obviously the Samuels Gorge wines are better but you can certainly see Justin learning his craft in the wine

February 27, 2013 - Young, intense fromboise notes with good balancing acidity and silky palate feel. Quite primary still. I think it'll be better in a couple of years as the acidity rounds out, but it's pretty great after a couple of hours in a decanter now. Great job Justin McNamee!

September 27, 2010 - What a moody teenager this was! All the greenness and bitterness has been left behind to reveal an amazingly lush cassis, sandalwood and eucalypt bomb but still packed with plenty of muscle, still has a distinctive salt caramel smell but no overt sweetness on the palate... Drink now to 2018
