March 8, 2016 - Typical ripe and concentrated nose and palate of the 12, expressive youthful nose displaying sweet red and black fruits, some earthy spice, pepper, a hint of lowers and mushroom. Excellent concentration, forward fruits, nicely layered fruits, mineral, good acidity, sweet tannins and long clean finish. It lacks the beguiling airy texture of Rousseau’s Chambertin, CDB, Ruchottes and CSJ. It is however a solid wine with excellent concentration that will age well for the next two decades. I believe this will be always enjoyable without terribly shutting down due to ample fruits.

January 21, 2016 - A little leathery on the nose. Tannins provide an elegant texture, good volume and quite austere on the palate.
