Community Tasting Notes 9

June 30, 2018 - This wine has been a consistent disappointment to me. I purchased 6 bottles based on reviews and I don't understand the enthusiasm. From the first bottle (I've been drinking about 1 a year - wrong phrase - pouring out a bottle a year!) They've been appropriately stored in my cellar and it's not corked (or whatever the right phrase for a screwtop wine is). I find it undrinkable (as does my wife or friends who have tried this one with us). It has sharp unpleasant notes to both our palettes. The minerality is there but none of the crispness and fruit notes others allude to. I even went back to the reviews to see what others enjoyed and it's a mystery to me. Taste is, of course, a very personal thing, but this wine gets consistently high marks for reasons that mystify. A real disappointment.

November 27, 2014 - Fresh and tart peach, cranberry and flowers (geraniums?). Nice acidity and has some bite and crunch (in a good way) on the back palate.

Some at dinner found this a little too "rough"
