November 16, 2017 - Great wine with dinner

November 26, 2014 - dark fruit with soft creamy texture. Tannins are fine and supple but lacking in length. A nice approachable everyday wine.

July 22, 2014 - Sweet plums, bell pepper, cassis, cloves, forest greens, bay leaf, cedar, licorice, smoke, and earth on the nose. Black cherry, tart cherry, plum, licorice, earth, herbs, and some vanilla on the palate. Decent acidity, smooth and supple texture, medium body, nicely integrated tannins, short-medium but tasty finish. Overall, this wine is very easy to like. It's delicious, balanced, savory and fruity. It's not super powerful or concentrated, the finish could be a bit longer, and it's still showing quite a bit of youthful oak, but it's hard to complain when it's on the dinner table.

July 4, 2014 - PnD let air for 1 hour. Oak to dominant fruit is there but... Resealed and left in the fridge to try tomorrow. Score and more impressions to follow.

Removed from fridge next day and let warm up for 3 hours. Dark claret purple almost saturated with garnet to clear rim. Oak is still first hot on the nose but does not overwhelm so aromas of cassis lavender and anise come through. Medium weight with powdery tannins. Flavours are a nice mix of red and black fruits with a touch of herbs and espresso. Refreshing acidity keeps it in check with a lingering finish of black raspberry tobacco and espresso. Very youthful. Oak and acid provide another 5 years a least of aging potential.

May 2, 2014 - A much better showing this time around. Nuanced and refined. A pleasant Bordeaux-like funk.
