August 5, 2013 - Gave this a try while on holiday in Scotland - 6 pounds in food store - i guess decent value, if not kind of imature in nature. Nose is tad old world and earthy. Palate is medium bodied and very harsh on acid and med coating tannin. Dark earthy fruit. Better with a little chill and 1 hour+ decant. Needs food and pairs well with more acidic fare. Not something i would buy again, but decent enough. Maybe in 2014?
