Community Tasting Notes 6

February 25, 2018 - Poached strawberries, some rhubarb too, cooking spices on the nose. Palate is showing some savoury characters, some prominent oak too, the fruit beginning to fade. It's OK, but should be drunk now.

January 13, 2018 - Dirty, silky & perfect time to drink it.

November 26, 2015 - No doubt this is a new world pinot. It boast lively, fresh fruit that appears early and stays still the end. Pleasant tannins appear mid-palate but don't overwhelm. It was interesting to taste this right after a 2002 Burgandy. In my experience the New World wines don't hold up after drinking an aged French wine. This was the rare exception and speaks to the terroir and skill of the winemaker.

June 28, 2015 - Nice nose of pouched strawberries, raspberries and red cherries - really hitting that red fruit spectrum early. The palate was soft and round, with nice fullness. Mix of dark and red fruits, spice and assertive tannins. Acid balance is good. Still young, needs time. Bought a bottle.
