August 1, 2022 - Wine is smack in the middle of its drinking zone. Fruit still pretty powerful Deep, dark color and berry flavors. Good palate cleansing acidity and silky, well integrated tannins keep you coming back. I worked hard to save some so I could have it day 2. Served with grilled skirt steak. Absolutely delicious wine!

    Tasted non blind.

Purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of smoke, pepper, currants and plums. Flavors of boysenberries, raspberries and plums. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink over the short term.

February 9, 2020 - Consumed over 2 days (vacuvined), note from day 2. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, fresh strawberry, raspberry, sweet tobacco, and shoe polish. Palate: Full bodied, nice mouth-feel, smooth edges, sweet dark red fruit attack, punches pretty heavily in the front end but fades a bit towards the back-end, though enough goodness remains to linger through a 30-45 second finish. This is still drinking well but I suspect it is just past peak, probably a few more years of enjoyment left though.

October 27, 2019 - Not aging well. Losing complexity. Very nice wine but certainly not worth the $70 tariff. Much better wines at half the price.

December 26, 2018 - Notes consistent. Maturing really well.
