Community Tasting Notes 2

September 19, 2013 - Flight 1, South America, Wine 2 (blind): The wine was medium lemon in colour and offered lemon, red apple and some oak aromas including vanilla and spices on the nutty nose. On the smoky and slightly spicy palate the wine showed lemon and apple flavours, paired with medium-plus lively acidity and very good length. The acidity stood out a bit and the wine was slightly bitter, without being unpleasant. The oak was well-integrated on the palate, much better than on the nose. A medium to full-bodied, clean, balanced, very well made Chardonnay. Very good QPR. Drink now and over the next two years.
