February 8, 2018 - still drinking well. The fruit is muted, but present. Tobacco and earth notes on the palate. Definitely, food friendly rather than quaffing.

December 31, 2016 - A nose of cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red, with black cherry, plum, toast and vanilla on finish, easy drinking, a very good value. www.winelx.com

March 7, 2016 - Given its $20 price tag and the 88 point score from WS, expectations were not very high - but we were pleasantly surprised at how good this was. Medium-to-full bodied, yet offers plenty of ripe, delicious cherry and raspberry fruit, with a long, lip-smacking finish. Very nicely balanced, with a moderate acidity and grippy tannins that are becoming well-integrated. Just slightly hollow on the back-palate, but overall very enjoyable and unexpectedly delicious.

September 6, 2015 - Bright acidity, flavor of tobacco and earth. The body of the wine is a lighter profile, keeping depth of flavor from developing. Enjoyable drinking but expected more from this vintage.
