January 8, 2023 - Deep garnet in the glass. A nose that reminds me of Margaux straight off the bat - dried plum, dried fig, pencil shavings, tobacco, dried violets. Medium-bodied with resolved, dusty tannins, moderate alcohol that feels a bit hot and an acidity that’s actually dying down at this stage. Drink up because this is at its peak and won’t last very long.

February 16, 2015 - Purplish red in color, with a shy but beautiful nose of red raspberries, red licorice and a spicy flowery component reminiscent of Stargazer lilies. Notes of red fruits dominates with secondary but fleeting impressions of minerals maybe detected towards the finish and a little oak. There is still a quite a bit of tannins towards the back end, medium-bodied at best with a balanced and refined personality. Overall, an enjoyable wine but with a slightly watery finish which is its main flaw.

January 29, 2015 - MASTER ESAGONALE FRANCIA; 1/14/2015-7/30/2015 (HOTEL WESTIN PALACE MILANO): Degustato alla cieca. 60% Mourvedre - 20% Grenache - 20% Cinsault.
Speziatissimo e orientaleggiante. Fiori rossi, raspi e grande balsamicità.
Sembra un bagnoschiuma al pino silvestre e amarene.
Molto aperto, comunicativo, sugoso e laccato.
La volatile è sensibile e dona un tocco di rusticità genuina.

In bocca è troppo giovane, quasi fastidioso nella sua adolscenza. Onde di acidità e mineralità che aggrediscono il palato e un tannino lungo, austero e invasivo.
Vino molto lungo, rugoso, tutto nervi e spina.
Si avverte la bella potenzialità, ma è un vino da dimenticare in cantina per dieci anni.

March 18, 2014 - Bordeaux-like nose, palate (and price tag.) Concentrated and balanced. Good.

August 12, 2013 - Very nice wine from Provence. Well balanced with a hint of spice. Black fruit is dominant. Medium to full bodies and medium finish. Drinking well right now.
