April 15, 2017 - Good friend brought this over for bday dinner after laying down for 12 years. Gorgeously developed, its power, flavour and length were perfectly integrated. A coy nose with hint of candied spice, nuts, concentrated fruit. then a palate of fresh jam, light toast, white chocolate, vanilla. Near undetectable tannins lift the finish to the next level. Incredible.

November 12, 2015 - A perfectly stored bottle of Napa red is a thing to be treasured, and this one was one of them. Classic in the style of Rhone nose, candied apples, leather, cured meats, paired with fruit intensity that isnt overpowering or too flabby in an over-extracted way. Lovely structure that is just settling down into a middle phase of maturity. Will seek out more of this lovely wine.

November 12, 2015 - A streak of vanilla through the nose that isn't overpowering but counterfoils the candied fruit cherry leather bark concoction. Then on to toast and caramel with hint of smoke and airy chocolate. A dollop of jam black currant and tart but not too much. Lovely structure and a satisfying finish. Very young still & sweet& full bodied. Few more years left.

October 20, 2013 - Just had a small pour but I didn't really enjoy this. Some heat in the aromatics and on the palate. Tart, sour fruit, some spice. Tannins resolved.
