January 21, 2024 - Drinks soft and silky, though volume is turned down a bit at this stage in life. Faint plummy dark fruit, mulled blueberry/blackberry, smoked meat, gravel, subtle white pepper/spice, green stems. Delicious, drink up as this didn’t hold up long in the glass.

December 28, 2020 - One of the better Gramercy Syrahs I have had in recent memory, (I haven’t drank a ton of them FWIW) with the cool vintage allowing the fruit to carry a crisp edge to a wonderfully composed fruit core. Part of a spring COVID 6 pack, might have to seek out more.

(Gramercy Cellars Syrah Walla Walla Valley) Very dark cherry red color; tart black fruit, oak, ripe berry, black cherry nose; tight, tart black fruit, pepper, tar palate with firm tannins; needs 4-plus years; medium-plus finish (13% alcohol) 90+ points

(Gramercy Cellars Syrah Walla Walla Valley) The winery’s first 100% Les Collines Vineyard Walla Walla Valley Syrah, it leaps up from the glass with violets, smoke, game, plum, and stemmy notes. The palate is sophisticated and elegant in style with a beautiful sense of balance and vibrancy. The mouthfeel is soft and supple with a lick of acid that draws out the finish. Some may find the style a bit too light; others will swoon. Expect it to flesh out with some additional time in the bottle. 100% Syrah. Les Collines Vineyard. Aged 18 months in French oak (18% new). 13% alcohol. 470 cases produced.
