August 17, 2023 - Popped at the end of the night after a wine tasting with Alycia Mondavi sampling '13 Dark Matter Zin, plus the Aloft White and Dark Matter Cab... so no notes taken, this Claret is always solid!!

Did notice a little bit of the "age" characteristics poking their head, so if you like the Fresh fruit cab, i would say its time to drink these!! Had a great mouthfeel and finish... a little on the lighter side than expected but still a great bottle!! Cheers!!

July 9, 2023 - This was a follow up pull to a Roy Estate PB.

Filtered splash decant. This is silky and modern with layers of black and blueberry.

Strikes me as a crowd pleasing wine with some age. No critical thinking needed.

May 2, 2023 - Nose and palate with layers of blackberry and cassis fruit with spices and oak notes finishing with soft tannins on a long finish. Drinking beautifully!

November 25, 2022 - Massive wine. Needed its 2h decant to wake up. A lot of everything as would be expected. Big, bold fruit, nice acidity and balance, long aftertaste. The 15% were not really that noticeable. Great wine.

April 8, 2022 - I decided to open this bottle along side the 2010 VHR. A lot of similarities in the wines as they stand today. Big bold brutes. Lots of sediment and dark fruit goodies. Strong oak influences. I will continue to hold the other bottles and hope for future development.

    Drink or hold.
