August 2, 2015 - Double decanted. Deep red in the core to slightly translucent on the edges. Much better than my previous bottle, but the nose still showed lots of stems. Visible wood, and leaning high toned with sour cherry and cool herbaceous notes. On the palate this has very vibrant acidity with lots more high-toned red fruit, with some blackberry in the background. Plenty of tannin to go around for a well-structured finish. Slightly sharper on day 2.

April 25, 2014 - Drank over about 5 hours. A bit green on the otherwise slightly reserved nose to start; hints of some mint and cool dark fruits. Very bright on the attack with lots of sour cherries and a rather intense acidity. A bit stemmy and the acid leaves a somewhat sharp aftertaste. Medium bodied with a soft tannic finish.

Update: Day 3. After a couple of days in the fridge, we brought this back out. After letting it get back to the correct temperature, it showed almost identically to before. The green was ever-so-slightly present, but this was still very nice.
