July 2, 2018 - A mistake to have consumed this before now. Soft, tannins relaxed. Leather, aged tobacco on nose. Drinks like aged merlot. Would fool me in the blind.

September 20, 2015 - Too young. Needs a lot of time

January 7, 2015 - Solid. A real, honest wine and good value, though way young at this point. Give it two years or decant- for us, this was best on day 3.

December 22, 2014 - Good Malbec, still feels young and too truity, needs a couple more years to fully develop

July 7, 2014 - Followed over 5 days, stored with argon to slow oxidation. Days 1 and 2, muted muted fruit and highly structured with prominent oak and firm bitter tannins despite using venturi 5 times then leaving in open glass for 2 hours. Days 3 and 4, opening up with more ripe dark fruit flavors, finishing with strong, bitter mocha. Day 5, finally in balance with spiced raisins, blackberry jam and black liquorice finishing with smooth tannins on caramel, vanilla, and toffee notes.

Interesting experience following this wine. This drinks like a malbec that's made for new-world cabernet drinkers, and likely benefit 4-5 years of cellaring, or if drinking now, a prolonged decant. A bit over-the-top for my palate but those who like fruit-forward cabernets should like this wine.
