July 4, 2023 - Decanted to catch sediment, but did not leave it to breathe long before pouring and tasting. Brick with fallow brick-to-yellow edge in color. Nose of truffle, dried fig, amaro, wood spice and faint cherry. On the palate: subtle strawberry, red licorice, rose water and earth. Creamy tannins are barely perceptible on gums. Long finish of sour cherry, rose water and amaro root. Sublime!

November 1, 2016 - Quite floral and lighter than a Barolo. Nicely evolved.
