April 11, 2022 - Limited black fruit moves directly into a tar-heavy core, dense, tannic, some tertiary notes. Finishes on acid and that chunky tannin. I'm honestly not sure what to think here. On the front-end I agree with other reviewers that it's either at peak or on the way down. OTOH the tannins aren't fully integrated yet and there's still acidity to age on. We enjoyed it plenty next to a 2009 Tempier Migoua in an admittedly decadent side-by-side... this wine tasted older, yet had a mouthfeel and finish that suggested it could go longer as well. I've got one more and not sure what I'll do with it... don't have a lot of Piedmont reds older than 10 years so my lean is to keep it another ten and see what happens.

February 17, 2022 - Disappointed since this bottle was much less enjoyable than prior tastings. The cork looked good, but brick orange-red color and stale nose indicated a lot of age. Improved a little with air but still flat compared to earlier experiences. Our last bottle. To anyone else, I’d drink it now if you have it.
