February 27, 2017 - It's rich, ripe but also slightly green. Not a bad wine but it hasn't developed in a good way, few minor bordeaux do. Starting to exhibit oxidation tomato sauce character in the background.

    Drink NOW.

October 18, 2013 - Excellent value. Has developed quite nicely. Sweet Black fruits with earth and brambles. Wonderful texture.

July 15, 2012 - Dark, opaque, blackberry colour. Aromas are contradictory: a distinctly rustic sodden-earth nose vies for attention against the sweet perfume of blueberry jam. The wine is tannic and slightly bitter, but rounds out quite nicely into a long, layered finish expressing toffee, burnt sugar, toasted oaky notes and pipe tobacco. The central fruit core is slightly overwhelmed by these other characteristics, which in my opinion should be secondary, and therefore as a result the wine is a little lacking in balance. Nonetheless, a well-structured, decently-priced claret from an intense and no doubt long-lasting vintage.

January 21, 2012 - Truffles, pencil shavings, cedar, cigar box aromas. Initially a bit thin, possibly even sharp, but leading to a nicely rounded finish with tasty sweet cherry and blackberry fruit, and a truffly and minty finish. Perfectly decent claret, but hardly anything to rave about.

September 3, 2011 - Pretty closed initially. Decanted for 2 hrs and it opened up only slightly. Muted dark fruits but not a lot there. Rather tannic. Not what I had hoped.
