  November 24, 2022 - Option for the 2022 International Carmenère Day was the all-mighty and sincerely lovely Kai Carmenère from Errazuriz. V deep and intense and mature red with dark core in appearance. Expressive, deep nose with black and blue fruit - primarily blueberries, currants and blackberries, black pepper, toasted coffee, dried herbs, dust, earth & smoke. Palate is full-bodied, rollercoaster-styled with layers, lots of energy, grained tannic structure emerging mid-palate, balanced acidity, unbelievably long, exquisite finish!

  November 13, 2022 - One will not easily find a better mono cepage Carmere than this Errazuriz KAI. Superb wine. Very dark purple color. Spicey notes with pepper and cinnamon. Lots of dark fruit and peppers in the palate. Very structured with lush tannins. Not to hurry, this has some years to go for sure.

  December 23, 2020 - Walked a fine line between old world and new world. One hour decant, started out very fruit forward. Over time, transitioned into a little more earthiness. We liked it but were hoping for a little more wow based on other reviews.
