January 24, 2021 - I love it, amazing golden drops of nectar.

December 25, 2019 - Ripe apple, honeyed white flower, and sea breeze. Medium weight with full throttle citrus and stone flavors. Compared to the 2011 Montée de Tonnerre, the 2011 Chapelot simply has more of everything, not unexpected as the latter is a better-exposed subparcel of the former, but the comparison is also not perfect as the oak treatments are obviously different — more oak on the Chapelot. Drinking side by side I find it hard not to prefer this one, but I'm not sure that the MdT isn't the more perfect Chablis.

July 18, 2019 - @ a restaurant in Meursault. Rare find, especially at this price. The 2011's of Domaine François Raveneau are drinking more than fine ever since the release. This is a wonderful compagnon for our lunch this afternoon...

May 2, 2019 - A private dinner (Restaurant Le Soufflot, Meursault, France): Chapelot has been incorporated into the larger Montée de Tonnerre climat, but in some vintages Raveneau declares it seprately. The nose has excellent complexity but is hard to pin down. It feels a bit closed, almost muted, but there is clearly a lot going on. I get citrus, linden blossom, but there are also deeper notes of pain d’épices. The palate is silky and seamless as always “chez Raveneau”, but there is a slightly rough edge to the finale. Resonance and length are very good. Not completely “bien dans sa peau”? It is very good, but it does not match the brilliance of the Montée de Tonnerre 2016 we had at lunch today. Provisional score.

April 17, 2018 - Apple, white flower, and a dried herbal note on the nose. Crisp acidity but a noticeable tartness. Flavors of lemon and stone. The 2011 Chapelot, from a sub-parcel of Montée de Tonnerre, is in an awkward place, all elbows.
