September 4, 2021 - Closed upon opening, but 20 minutes later it really opened up. Red fruits on the nose & palate. Good acidity, medium body, great mouthfeel, with a long finish. Drinking beautifully getting better & better the longer it’s opened. Lovely wine!

June 24, 2021 - Started out thin on the taste. Strong nose. After about an hour the wine came on strong. Very thick, delicious, cola, cherry. Very nice. Paired well with eggplant parmigiana.

March 14, 2019 - looking at the other notes, I feel like many had expectations of CA pinot (ie much bigger, fuller bodied), I found this really nice with red and darker fruit in good amounts, really nice acidity for structure (many called it too acidic), some funky / earthy complexity... a very nice Morey or NSG palate which I thought was great (I don't like CA pinot fruit bomb so much)

September 22, 2016 - It has been just over a year since my last bottle and this wine continues to show well; probably the best of my three. Retains the pleasant cherry and light spices notes on the nose. Medium bodied and it has continued to come into balance over the past year. Soft, balanced red cherry is the most prominent note, backed with light raspberry and with black cherry and just a touch of acidity-based tartness. Finishes with earth, integrated spices and some structuring tannins. The few rough edges that I noted from last year's bottle have for the most part been smoothed over. There are still a few dry spots towards the backend and the fruit overall doesn't have the depth and complexity of an excellent vintage. Overall, this wine is drinking well now and might have room for some minor additional improvements, but given where the fruit is now, I'd expect this to start slowly fading after 2018.

November 12, 2015 - Ruby red in color. 14.3% ABV. Fantastic nose of red fruits, nutmeg and pine needles. Medium body with medium to strong acidity. Somewhat lean fruit profile. Black cherry, anise, earth and citrus on the palate. The wine comes up a little short on the finish. A reflection of the marginal vintage. Drink over the next 2-4 years.
