Community Tasting Notes 2

July 10, 2019 - Golden. Ripe stonefruits, apricot, peach, vanilla, butterscotch. Nice age, strong acidic backbone, medium long finish. Great stuff.

January 14, 2014 - 7 Tasmania Wineries Jan-14; 1/9/2014-1/14/2014: {screwcap, 13.5%, A$38} Rather old-fashioned nose of nuts and figs, with a distinct softness bolstered by the 50% malo component. The palate is dry, medium/full-bodied, with sweet buttery fruit and plenty of presence on the mid-palate. Not too oaky though. Medium acid which saves the day, and a medium-long finish rounds things out. Pretty good chardonnay, although the price is a little steep (compared to what you get from Delamere, Puddleduck, Chromy elsewhere in Tassie, for instance).
