November 19, 2021 - Drinking very well now. Had to open up and resolve for about 15 minutes. Strong, dark power right bank. At a very…extremely good spot now, but will get better with more cellar at right temp, upkeep and luck.

March 30, 2019 - The complexity is incredible and still the wine is round. It was a good battle with their second wine from the 2002 vintage, half of the people prefered each. Needs to be decanted for at least 30 minutes.

August 11, 2011 - VERY floral nose....lilacs? Reminds me a bit of L'Arrosee. Not a powerful mouthfeel, though not watery. If ever tannic, it is no longer. Not bad, but not interesting either. Hoping the '05 is much better!?!

July 26, 2009 - Comes on a little strong at first -- almost brutal in its size and intensity -- but calms down and behaves after a couple hours' decanting, though just barely. A big, big wine, super-extracted, and in a brawny international style. Traditionalists need not apply here. The cork was beautiful, too (for those like me who notice a good cork).
