November 3, 2022 - as others have pointed out, some funk on the nose. but initially there was a strong medicinal note on the palette that was quite off-putting. needed a good 1.5hrs in the decanter for that to blow off and for the fruit to show thru

December 23, 2020 - Beautiful Anderson valley Pinot with red cherries, strawberries, brushy herbs, earth, cola and vanilla. Acid m+ Tannins m-. Alcohol ripe. Drinking beautifully right now.

January 11, 2019 - Very nice funky nose. Crisp, tangy red fruits. A good Garagiste pick-up, but wish I bought more than two, and now gone.

September 13, 2018 - Similar to two years ago. The tangy fruit finish is what stands out here.

August 25, 2018 - This was poured next to a Rivers-Marie 2014 Silver Eagle and it stood in well with that wine. The Ladd shows a distinctly pinot 'funk' nose, which makes it stand out. Blue fruited, with tangy herb, tobacco and a touch of kiwi that I sometimes find in PN. Love the tangy berry skin finish. The wine's color is starting to brick so my sense is that it's showing some of its age now and is drinking in a cool stage. The best Ladd I have had to date.
