August 11, 2012 - Seemed a bit closed off and muted. Thought it would have opened up more over time. I was expecting a bigger Syrah, but this was a leaner, more delicate style. Perhaps a product of the vintage. Soft tannins and fragrant oak rounds out the fruit with just enough acitiy to keep in balance. Will see how the remaining bottles show over the next couple of years. PJP 2012.
