    October 11, 2020 - Decant 1 hr. Fully resolved.

August 22, 2020 - Still a very nice wine. Lost a bit of fruit and depth over time but well integrated, deep dark rustic dubrul fruit throughout and a nice medium finish. Would drink them up this year.

August 19, 2020 - Still some good energy to this. Obviously the fruit was first caliber from DuBrul. This was juicier than I expected. More high notes, fewer low notes. But on balance quite delicious. I would say it's time to drink up, for sure.

May 20, 2020 - Decanted 2 hrs. Very smooth, fully resolved, would decant 1 hr next time to leave some of the tension. Good secondaries, would drink now-2021.

February 9, 2019 - Decanted about 1 hour. Really started to open up and fill out after about 2 hours. May have lost a little weight since my last bottle but still good.

Washington Wine Report

  • By Sean Sullivan
    12/7/2013 (link)

(Tamarack Cellars DuBrul Vineyard Reserve Red Wine Rattlesnake Hills) Somewhat aromatically reticent, it plays toward the savory side with tomato paste, herbs, cherry, and whiffs of chocolate. The palate has soft fruit flavors and more tannic heft than this site often displays. 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, and 7% Cabernet Franc. Aged 22 months in French oak (67% new). 14.1% alcohol. (Wine Enthusiast review to be published in upcoming issue).
