    September 4, 2022 - Absolutely phenomenal village G-C wine.
Easily on the level of most 1er crus.
Clearly nearing the end of its drinking window, but at 32 years, there's no shame in that. Great complexity and texture.
    Excellent value in Burgundy.

March 11, 2018 - Autumnal - forest floor and decaying leaves. Not much fruit left.

April 8, 2017 - Do not be fooled by the village appellation of this wine; this is clearly a more interesting wine from a very competent producer. It's also a tribute to the 1990 vintage, which lives up to its very high reputation.
While very soft and enjoyable, there is still enough tannin structure left to brilliantly hold on to all the elements and it should age well for at least another 3-5 years, but I'm not convinced it will get nicer than it is today: rich display of aromas, really showcasing its Gevrey origins.

July 16, 2016 - Fully mature and lovely. Black cherries, forest floor. Lovely nose, and mellow layered subtle flavors. Most of the tannins have faded away but structural still holding together.

May 17, 2014 - Saturday night at The Papies (The Papies, Elizabeth St, London): Funny how we had the other of our 2 bottles exactly a year ago... Still a glorious wine and very elegant true to its origins Burgundy. Way way above a village wine and a testament to one of our favourite producers. Of course well secondary with a nice earthy mushroomy edge but still with a lot of fruit, firm albeit silky tannin and full of elegance. 94 easy and if u can find them buy them.
