February 13, 2022 - Very floral and blue fruit driven, a more strained style. Yet the flavor is not totally focused. Drank alongside hundred acre far and few and was weak in comparison.

September 27, 2021 - Miyazaki A5 Wagyu night (Andrew's): Agree with the note that described this as "cashmere". Very smooth, which paired well with Wagyu. It had nothing in common with either the terror-driven Bordeaux or hedonistic Napa cabs served alongside it. I'd love a full night with another bottle to explore its depth, in which case I might better appreciate its elegance.

June 3, 2021 - Deep ruby red. This sensational Cabernet opens up with complex aromas of cassis, pipe tobacco, red cherries, toasted nuts and hints of iris. Medium bodied in the mouth, with uncommon grace and a nearly weightless sensation, yet chock-full of red fruits, licorice, minerals and earth—a proverbial iron fist in a velvet glove. A seemingly endless finish with late-arriving cashmere-like tannins cap things off in style. Referece point Napa Cab that is fantastic now but will be an exceptional drink for a long time. 14.1% ABV. 97.
