Community Tasting Notes 3

June 30, 2022 - Amazing stuff, super fresh and the texture is rich and soft with a patina that only age can bring. Provided by a very generous host who also opened a 96 Latour and 86 Las Cases. Beautiful wine and a real treat.

November 18, 2021 - 1990s Burgundy, second attempt (Noize): Gorgeous wine. Nose relatively complex and hard to describe adequately, with the cedary vestiges of the barrel ageing and some more volatile notes of polish giving the impression of an exotic wooden chest. Really filled the mouth with flavour: quite sweet (by turns butterscotch, sweet red fruit and candyfloss) then a very long finish. Delicious!

October 23, 2021 - I picked up six of these at auction last year for a song. All but one have been glorious and kindled memories of drinking the stunning 1992 in Fredericks in Islington in the mid-90s. This has a golden hue but is still going strong with so much going on, it really is a treasure trove, which drives on to a long glorious finish. This was my white wine of the year in 2021.
